Street Hockey
Equipment Requirements
The NASHA Adult Foot league is designed to provide exposure to the fast-paced
and exciting sport of street hockey, which has become popular on the East Coast
and in Canada as the warm weather alternative to ice hockey.

Divisions are available for all skill levels,  from novice to advanced.  NASHA is a
coed league, and you must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the adult
league.

A regular season consists of 8 games, with playoffs for all qualifying teams. The
play itself  is 5 on 5 (3 forwards, 2 defensemen) plus a goaltender,  with all
players on foot (no skates).

Games consist of 3 periods, each 10 minutes in duration, with a 5 minute sudden
death overtime in the event of a tie at the end of regulation play.  In place of a puck,
a warm weather Mylec plastic ball is used.
The minimum protective equipment requirements are as follows:

Forwards and Defensemen

helmet with eye protection, full-fingered gloves, shin pads and protective cup
(men). No open-toed footware. Any additional protective equipment is optional.

Goaltender
